Lake or Bust

I just want to swim in a lake...it's a strange craving but all summer the longing has only intensified. I know I can't tube or ski right now but simply floating in the water sounds fantabulous. I have been reminiscing about an old childhood friend and the hours we spent at her lakehouse basking in the sun and swimming in the merky waters...good memories...if only I were in Texas. Maybe in a week or so I can take a dip in a hole while in Tennessee, we'll see. For now I'll just enjoy my lukewarm bath water and face the fact that I live in the city these days :)

In Person

So as usual, my AMAZING husband surprised me! He snagged some tickets to see Jack Johnson at the Tweeter Center...and not just any tickets but we were on about row 20 under the covered pavilion. It was so much fun. All in all Jack remains an amazing artist in my book! Thanks Chris for loving on me, even when I don't deserve it! You might want to check out one of the guys who opened for him: Neil Halstead of the UK. Folk/Indie artist that we really enjoyed. http://www.myspace.com/neilhalsteadofficial

My Hero

Meet Connor Lewis- the strongest, bravest most incredible kid we know. He is a new friend of ours who has come from Houston to Boston for surgery at Children's Hospital. Please read his story at www.caringbridge.org/visit/connorlewis (enter your email address & password, they don't send junk mail, only for security purposes) and pass it on to as many people as you know so that the prayers will continue on his behalf. Once you follow his story you will never be the same. And once you leave him an encouraging message in his guestbook he and his family will never been the same:) thanks for taking time to love on one amazing kid!!!
