Cutting a Rug

This girl likes to dance! From acoustic to rap, Amelia loves to show off her dance moves. You can even briefly say the word "dance" and she starts going. I have no idea where she has picked this up but it gives us something laugh at;) And just FYI, no matter the genre, her moves and rhythm are the same...somewhat "mummy like" with the exception to the "pelvis elvis" move that she incorporated into this dance session around the 20 second mark!

This is kind of a BIG deal...

This week has shown promise, once again, that spring will be arriving in New England very soon. Though temperatures continue to fall into the 30's, the sweet little spring buds are pressing their little heads through the soil in hopes of bringing new color into our lives very soon.

This is also kind of a BIG deal...

Amelia is going to be a big sister this September. She has been getting much practice by caring for her "baby" that her great grandparents gave her. She likes to give the baby it's bottle, share her sippy cup with the baby and read books to the baby. If only it were going to be that simple! It will be an adventure to have two in diapers at once but hopefully they will be best of friends in the years to come.

I Can Relate....

"Some women are lucky enough to have mothers, sisters and friends who live nearby to see them through the rough spots. More than money, more than power, even more than sex, living close to our dearest friends and being able to barge in and drop off the kids without asking first-knowing full well that when it's needed in return, the same will be asked of us-is something we've heard moms desperately crave. But the reality for most is pretty different-they live in cities they didn't grow up in, with newly made friends...support systems that are newer and more tentative"

A quote that I read this week that's becoming all the more real for my life as I scramble to find a babysitter for this weekend so Chris & I can attend a Community/Ministry Fundraiser to network with others in the city;)
